- Approximate location (within 100 meters) to find nearby theaters and showtimes
- Location data is only accessed when you use the theater/showtime features
- You can disable location access at any time through your device settings

TrailerPark integrates with the following third-party services:
The Movie Database (TMDB)
We use TMDB to provide movie and TV show information, including titles, descriptions, cast, crew, and images. TMDB's privacy policy applies to their data handling.
Supabase
Our backend infrastructure is powered by Supabase, which securely stores your account data, preferences, and app data. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Authentication Providers
- Apple Sign-In: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or a private relay email if you choose to hide it). Apple's privacy policy governs their data handling.
- Google Sign-In: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile information. Google's privacy policy governs their data handling.
Theater Services
We may connect to theater services (Cinemark, Regal, AMC, Fandango) to display showtimes. These services have their own privacy policies.
Data Storage and Security
How We Protect Your Data
- All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS
- API keys and sensitive credentials are stored in your device's secure Keychain
- We implement row-level security policies so users can only access their own data
- Profile pictures are analyzed on-device for community safety - this analysis never leaves your device
Where We Store Your Data
- Cloud storage: Your account data, preferences, and social activity are stored securely on Supabase servers
- Local storage: Some data is cached locally on your device for offline access and performance
Data Retention
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active
- Cached data on your device expires after 24 hours
- If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers
Your Privacy Controls
Profile Privacy
- Set your profile to public or private
- Control which content (likes, collections, following) is visible to others
- Configure visibility settings for your social activities
Data Access
- View and modify your preferences at any time within the app
- Access your watch history, likes, and collections
Account Deletion
- You can delete your account at any time through the app settings
- Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers
Managing Permissions
You can control app permissions through your device settings:
- Location: Enable or disable location access for theater features
- Camera: Enable or disable camera access for QR code scanning
- Notifications: Enable or disable push notifications
Children's Privacy
TrailerPark is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
